Hello, fellow Harvard Extension School students,

I'm Alex Ponce, a dedicated member of our vibrant HES community, and I am honored to present my candidacy for HESA President. With a rich background in Social Sciences, Government, and Management, and a heart fully committed to the betterment of our community, I stand before you ready to lead, inspire, and create meaningful change.

Why Alex?

My journey at HES has been nothing short of transformative, culminating in an ALB with a concentration in Social Sciences, and advancing towards an ALM in Management. But beyond academics, my passion lies in the thriving heartbeat of our community — from reviving and leading the Management & Finance Club to unprecedented growth, to advocating for international student visas and refining our degree-naming scheme. My leadership mantra is simple: "Proven Leadership for You."

We are at a pivotal moment in the history of HES. As we navigate the challenges and opportunities of a post-pandemic world, the need for connectivity, inclusivity, and robust support has never been greater. My vision for HESA is a community where every student, regardless of where they are in the world, feels valued, supported, and connected. A community that not only advocates for its members but actively works towards creating a cohesive, collaborative, and vibrant environment.
